Have you ever wondered why some people seem to get all the blessing? They receive promotions, recognition, and financial rewards—even in your own workplace—while you remain unnoticed. You're not the one being talked about in meetings, even though you work hard on projects and see impressive results. Instead, a manager takes credit for your efforts, leaving you wondering, Father, what did I miss? I thought I did exactly what You wanted me to do. Why was I overlooked?
I’ve had moments like that in the marketplace—times when I went above and beyond, only to see recognition go to the president’s friend, a manager’s hangout buddy, or individuals who contributed very little. Sometimes, you don’t even know what those people actually do in the company.
But today, I want to encourage you. You are not here to please man—that is not your purpose. That is not why God placed you here. The Father positioned you on this earth to complete an assignment, to fulfill His mandate for your life in accordance with His will.
You have unique gifts and callings. Yes, others may have administrative skills, sales abilities, or the capacity to connect with people. You may be a gifted healthcare professional, a compassionate social worker, or a creative professional. But no one can do what you do the way you do it. No one carries the exact anointing, grace, and skill that you do.
Perhaps you don’t see the value in your gifts, talents, and abilities because they’ve always been a part of you or because you’ve developed them over time. You might dismiss them, saying, Oh, I just do this, or I just do that. But in God’s eyes, there is no just. He is intentional about what He placed inside you.
It’s time to recognize the gold within you. It’s time to see how important you are in the marketplace and in your community. Now is the moment to lean into those gifts and ask the Lord, Father, what do You want me to do with this? How can I use this to bless You? Show me the ways in which I’ve already been successful by Your grace and reveal how You want this to impact a larger arena—whether in my industry, my community, or my family.
When you serve faithfully in your area of influence, it’s easy to start devaluing yourself. The world compares and measures worth by money, fame, and recognition. If the world doesn’t acknowledge or celebrate something, it assumes it has no value—and you may start believing that, too. But nothing could be further from the truth.
The world may chase after success, but the Kingdom of God is different. The Kingdom is about joy, peace, and fulfilling the Father’s will. It’s about partnering with the Lord, breaking barriers so others can move forward and receiving the true rewards of your labor—not just in tangible ways but in spiritual fulfillment. The highest promotion you can receive is to hear the Lord say, “Well done, My good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:21)
I encourage you today: when you look in the mirror, don’t see yourself through the eyes of man. Ask God to fine-tune your vision so you can see yourself as He does. Ask Him to reveal your gifts, your talents, and your purpose. Ask Him how He wants to use you in this season.
This is a time of shifting and change. You don’t want to miss this season of discovering who you are and—most importantly—who He is. Before we can fully understand ourselves, we must seek Him. He promises that if we search for Him with our whole heart, we will find Him. (Jeremiah 29:13) And on that journey of discovering who He is, we will truly find out who we are.
If this resonates with you, I invite you to contact me. Book a Clarity Call, and let’s discover what Father is saying to you in this season. It’s time to move toward His purpose, His mandate, and His glory.
